Sinead Farrelly reports -The Dublin ladies minors
had a winning start to their championship season with a comprehensive win over
Offaly in Parnells.
Dublin had the advantage
of the wind supporting them for the first half and they made an impact right
away with a few wides as the Offaly backs were made to work hard for the
opening minutes.

was in superb form for Dublin today in Ballyheane with the St Sylvester’s sharp
shooter bagging an impressive 1-07 for her team against Peter Clarke’s Mayo in
the division one TESCO Home Grown NFL clash.
Coming in to
todays game Mayo’s ace forward Cora Staunton had scored an astonishing 2-21 in
just two rounds of the league but today it would be the turn of Dublin’s full
forward line of Lyndsey Davey..

named the same starting 15 that overcame the challenge of Kerry last weekend
for Sunday’s eagerly awaited TESCO Homegrown NFL clash away to Mayo.
Dublin boss
McGonigle had earlier in the week expressed concerns regarding the fitness of
Dublin duo Siobhan McGrath and Lyndsey Davey both of whom had picked up slight
knocks in last Sundays victory over the Kingdom.

TESCO Home Grown NFLDublin v Mayo - Change of VenueDue to adverse weather conditions the Tesco Homegrown NFL Division one clash between Dublin and Mayo will now be played in Ballyheane Pitch (just outside Castlebar) at 1:30pm on Sunday February 16th. Directions for those travelling to the game: Go into Castlebar and take the Ballinrobe Road (out past the train station) for a couple of miles and the pitch is on the right hand side before you come into Ballyheane.

job to arrive at a final number of 30 players as over 218 girls had been nominated
