Dublin vs Meath

Leinster rivals, Dublin and Meath will meet in round five of the national league this coming Saturday at Parnell Park (15:00pm). The two teams have had contrasting results so far in their respective NFL campaigns.

Meath up until last Sunday had enjoyed an unbeaten run in the league with three consecutive victories under their belts. In unforgiving playing conditions at Abbottstown, Kildare handed Meath their first defeat of 2025 when registering a 2-07 (13) to 1-05 (8) victory.

Kildare under new manager Pat Sullivan, have now accounted for both Meath and Dublin. Two results not many would have predicted especially as this is Kildare’s first season back competing in division one.

Dublin have yet to find their groove in the league. Coming into Saturdays game against Meath the Dubs have recorded one win (Mayo) and a draw (Waterford) having lost narrowly to table toppers Armagh while also suffering a surprise defeat to a rejuvenated Kildare side in round two.

Co-managers Derek Murray and Paul Casey have made four changes to their side from that which line out against Waterford last weekend. Coming into the starting fifteen are Caoimhe O’Connor, Aoife Kane, Carla Rowe and Annabelle Timothy. Making way are Rebecca McDonnell, Ashling Nyhan, Chloe Darby and Clodagh Fox.

Match referee, Maggie Farrelly from Cavan will get proceedings underway in Parnell Park at 15:00pm. Tickets for the game remain on sale from www.universe.com or via this link https://bit.ly/3CKoARX The game will be available to view live on TG4 and on www.tg4.ie
