Leinster MFC Round 2
Saturday March 22nd | 14:00pm
Castlemitchell GFC | Athy Co Kildare
Dublin v Kildare
The Leinster minor championship is well and truly underway. This Saturday rivals Dublin and Kildare will meet in round 2 of the competition. Both teams emerged from the opening round with victories over Meath and Longford respectively. A win for either County this weekend will most likely confirm their place in the provincial decider on April 21st next.
Kildare have dominated this age group within Leinster over the last three years and will be aiming to keep Dublin on the back foot despite losing to the metropolitans at the same stage of the competition last season.
Dublin boss Declan Patton has made one change to his starting fifteen from that which began against Meath two weeks ago. Molly Bourke comes into the starting line-up for Laoise Murtagh who is ruled out of action due to a facial injury, we wish her a speedy recovery.
Experienced match official Jonathan Murphy from Carlow will get proceedings underway in Athy at 14:00pm. Tickets for the game are available to purchase from www.universe.com
